Happy 5th birthday iPod


Well it’s been a long ride since the iPod first was released. When it first launched it was made for the Mac only. It was a 5 gig model (which even the nanos of today eclipse).
Watch Steve Jobs introduce the iPod to a not-so-thrilled audience. Boy no one could see how big the iPod could ever get after that first introduction. The slogan that started it all was, “1,000 songs in your pocket.”

Quite a long way from the silhouette ads that popularized the iPod into the success it is today.

So happy birthday iPod! I’ve been a proud owner of iPods since my 15 gig 3G model, and have owned every single generational model out since then.
