Well here is some semi-proof that a 17″ and 12″ laptop on the Pro end is coming out soon, and that will be called MacBook Pro.
If you click on the Deals section of the Apple store you can see this:
There is also one under the 15.4 and 17 inch model. It is pretty much a guarntee that the 12 and 17 inch laptops will be called MacBook Pro’s, but this further enforces that. I bet they will be out soon. I can’t wait for a 17″ MacBook Pro.
I know that the rest says Powerbook, but Apple puts lists this under every model seperatetly, as that there is different pricing depending on what type of mac you are getting. (Digg this story)

All they did was rename the applecare for powerbooks. Applecare is the same price (and same item for that matter) on all the powerbooks.
Nothing is guaranteed with Apple. Plus, it’s referring to the Apple Care plan, including all the silver covered portables. iBooks have a different price.
